The Star Trac S TRx S Series Treadmill Generation 2 is a health club-quality machine that is loaded with many of the cool features that fitness enthusiasts love. An upgrade from the company’s base S-TR model, this treadmill boasts an easy-to-use LED user interface that doubles as a personal entertainment center. Its eight-character message window allows users to keep track of a variety of fitness stats and encouraging milestones, including distance, incline, time, speed, calories, METs, and quarter mile track marks. The patented Personal Viewing Screen, or PVS, allows walkers/runners to sync the console with their favorite electronic devices, from which they can watch television, surf the web, listen to music, and more. The patented SoftTrac Triple Cell suspension of the treadmill’s deck absorbs the pounding shock that walking and running can cause, leading to a very low-impact workout.
The Star Trac S TRx S Series Treadmill Generation 2 comes complete with 13 pre-installed workouts from which riders can choose. They include—but are not limited to—a calorie burning workout, which helps users maintain a target heart rate for maximum fat burning; an endurance-based test, a Quick Start function, which allows users to commence with their workout quickly while programming the machine; a Fitness test, and both a Constant heart rate control and a Dynamic heart rate control program. These last two workouts are made possible by the touch-based and Polar telemetry heart monitoring the machine offers. There is also a manual function, in which users will need to key in a few pieces of personal information in order to tailor or personalize their readouts.
The Star Trac S TRx S Series Treadmill Generation 2 boasts a quiet 3.0 HP motor and a wide 20 inch by 60 inch belt for the utmost in user safety and performance. The automatic Stop function on the machine detects the user’s movement, and will automatically shut the machine down when that movement stops for some reason.
